Meet Daria Horbenko: QA Lead
Daria Horbenko has been with S-PRO for almost seven years, starting from July 2017. In that time, she's had the chance to grow up at S-PRO.
As a QA Lead, Daria is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process. Her primary responsibilities include:
- collaborating with project managers, developers, designers, and clients to define QA processes and test plans;
- assembling and leading a team of test engineers to execute functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing;
- ensuring comprehensive test coverage to identify defects and minimize product risks;
- tracking quality metrics, such as defect density and open bug trends, to drive continuous improvement;
- coordinating with dev teams on defect triage and resolution;
- creating detailed test status reports for stakeholders.

What Is One Exciting Fact About Yourself?
I like order in everything. It helps in the work and the QA process. I have been with S-PRO since I was 17. During that time, I had time to get married, have a child, and move to a new city.
How Has Your Role at S-PRO Evolved Since You Started?
I came to S-PRO as a QA engineer when formal job levels didn’t even exist. But my career progressed swiftly — the company offered me a team lead position when I was 19.
Share a Favourite Memory from Your Early Days at S-PRO
I cherish the memories of the pre-pandemic days at S-PRO: Friday pizza parties, birthday celebrations, and fun office games like "what, where, when." I loved the office events and the tight-knit environment.
2018-2019 marked an exciting time when the company was growing and opening new offices. It was a cool period of rapid development for S-PRO.

I know how to jump into work even when projects get chaotic. The stressful situations where everything is happening at once allow for rapid personal growth and exposure to new things.
What Personal Achievement at S-PRO Are You Most Proud Of?
I'm proud of my development as a technical specialist across two key projects at S-PRO. I take pride in improving my ability to work cross-functionally with various team members and personalities. In the beginning, I was shy and insecure about interactions with colleagues. However, I adapted and became comfortable with time.
What Skills Have You Developed During Your Time Here?
Public speaking, effective task prioritization, showing empathy towards others, and making tough decisions when required.

What Advice Would You Give to New Employees Joining S-PRO Today?
Never stop learning; acquiring new skills over the next year or two is very important. Communication is art — be empathetic. Remember you share goals with your team. Proactively address problems — don't let them boomerang you. And take responsibility for your role.
How Do You Feel the Company’s Culture Has Changed With Its Growth?
When I first joined S-PRO, the changes were significant. The culture is all about constant evolution. The structure of top management and technical positions is always changing. Continuous improvements are the mantra here — you can't stand still.
There have been changes in processes and how we interact with customers, so things are constantly being improved.
What Are the Most Significant Changes You Would Like to See in the Company's Approach to Its Projects or Clients?
For my 10th anniversary with S-PRO, I wish for more stable clients and new projects, steady growth, and more team members passionate about their work.
