Securities trading platform. For non-professional and professional stock market participants

Create a cross-platform mobile application that serves as an interface between the client and the broker.

Imagine that an individual wants to invest in shares of a well-known company. To do this, they need to have a brokerage account and go through KYC procedures. Purchasing securities entails relatively high organizational and financial costs.

We offer the development of a FinTech project supporting interactions between brokers and individuals. Earlier, we conducted analytics, discovery, and global market research. Now, we want to share our vision of a possible solution that allows users to quickly and easily perform operations related to purchasing and selling securities.

Securities trading platform: the essence of its work

Let’s say that a client wants to buy a share of some famous company and chooses by price and other criteria. Their purchase request goes to the broker company that released the application we’re describing here. In response, a broker buys shares on the desired company’s account at the client’s request for a commission. The broker also can buy part of the share if the client has insufficient funds for the whole share.

The owner of this share will be an individual, but it will be recorded in the broker’s account. From the legal point of view, an individual is not exactly the owner of securities. Shares are legally owned by the broker, who purchases them on all brokerage accounts and on all exchanges.

In the broker’s system, for the whole world to see, the share is owned by the broker that bought it on behalf of the client. But the broker knows that part of the share belongs to an individual.

Many issues regarding taxes, sales, etc., arise and are resolved by the broker. If the stock market rises in price, the client can tell the broker to sell it, and the broker will sell.

Purpose of the application

The purpose of the application is to provide end users with a solution to buy shares in companies such as Apple or Facebook. For a broker, the app is a system for receiving applications for selling or purchasing shares.

Functionality

  1. End users see shares available for purchase (along with share prices) from various companies — Apple, Samsung, LG — along with all other securities with which the broker works. It is possible to submit an application for buying or selling securities.
  2. View portfolio — the user can select a stock, view its share value over time, and collect shares.
  3. Interaction with the brokerage company.
