Claude implementation partner in Switzerland for banks: how to choose (2026)
S-PRO is a Swiss international firm headquartered in Zurich, building AI agents on Claude for banks, insurers and fintechs. ISO 27001 / ISO 27701.
TL;DR. A Swiss bank choosing a Claude implementation partner should check three things: the partner's standing in Anthropic's Claude Partner Network (CPN) as shown in Anthropic's own directory, public financial-services references that state their scope, and whether the partner can sign a contract that covers the topics of FINMA Circular 2018/3 (outsourcing) and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG/FADP). Marketing claims such as "official partner" or "certified experts" do not replace these checks. Below: what the CPN tiers mean, what to ask, which firms publicly claim Claude work in Switzerland or DACH, and where S-PRO fits.
Already built a Claude agent? Get a platform review
Companies in regulated industries such as financial services and pharma sometimes build a first agent on Claude themselves and then need it to pass a security, compliance and operations review. S-PRO reviews it: code review and clean-up, stabilisation, a security and compliance review aligned with ISO 27001, and a defined path to production.

What is the Claude Partner Network and what do the tiers mean?
Anthropic launched the Claude Partner Network on 12.03.2026. Membership is free, and any organization bringing Claude to market can join. Anthropic's Services Track (announcement of 03.06.2026) describes four levels. The numbers below are as of 03.06.2026; Anthropic verifies standing every quarter, so tiers and counts change at least quarterly.
Swipe to compare →
| Tier | Published entry conditions (03.06.2026) |
|---|---|
| Registered | Entry level; commitment to reach 10 certified practitioners |
| Select | At least 10 active certified individuals, 2 joint customers in production (trailing 12 months), 1 public customer story |
| Preferred | 100 certified individuals, 15 joint customers, 3 public customer stories |
| Global Premier | 1,000 certified individuals, 100 joint customers across 3+ regions, 15 public customer stories, joint business plan with named executive sponsors |
Two details matter for buyers. First, a "certified practitioner" holds a current Anthropic certification and has used Claude in the past 90 days. Certifications belong to individuals, not firms. Second, the first technical certification, Claude Certified Architect, Foundations (CCA-F), targets solution architects building production applications with Claude. Anthropic's public directory shows tier, certified team, deployments and references. As displayed on 03.11.2026 it listed 16 Global Premier, 40 Preferred and 257 Select partners. The directory has no country filter: it filters by region ("DACH: Germany, Austria, Switzerland"), so it cannot show whether a firm has an office in Switzerland itself. With the filters Financial Services & Insurance and DACH on-site office locations, it listed 62 firms as of 03.11.2026 (8 Global Premier, 9 Preferred, 43 Select; 2 cards without a tier).

What should a regulated Swiss bank look for in a Claude partner?
Six criteria, in the order most buyers need them:
- CPN standing as Anthropic shows it, not as the partner's website describes it: tier, number of certified individuals, deployments, public references.
- Public financial-services references that name their scope: what was built, for what kind of institution, in production or pilot.
- Contract readiness for the topics of FINMA Circular 2018/3 (see below).
- Data handling: where data goes, processor terms, sub-processor approval, and the deployment surface (the directory lists Amazon Bedrock, Claude API, Vertex and Microsoft Foundry as filters).
- Team: certified architects, delivery location, Swiss presence.
- Pilot-to-production evidence and AI governance that maps to FINMA's published expectations.
Which parts of FINMA Circular 2018/3 matter for a Claude project?
FINMA Circular 2018/3 on outsourcing by banks, insurers and selected financial institutions under the FinIA (German title: Rundschreiben 2018/3 Outsourcing; in force 01.04.2018, last amended 04.11.2020, in force 01.01.2021) applies when a provider performs a significant function independently and on an ongoing basis. It is technology-neutral and does not mention AI or Claude. Its scope covers banks and securities firms, insurers, managers of collective assets, fund management companies and self-managed SICAVs. It is not a rule for every wealth or asset manager. It applies proportionately (size, complexity, structure, risk profile), and small banks are partly exempt, among others from the orderly-return rule. Whether a given Claude use case is an outsourcing of a significant function is a question for your compliance and legal teams.
If it is, the contract and the provider need to cover these topics:
- an inventory of outsourced functions, including subcontractors;
- a documented risk analysis before signing, careful provider selection, and attention to concentration risk and the consequences of changing provider;
- an orderly return of the function or transfer to another provider;
- security requirements that are agreed and monitored, and an emergency security framework;
- inspection and audit rights for the institution, its audit firm and FINMA, described in the circular as at any time, in full and unhindered;
- for outsourcing abroad: enforceable inspection rights, and continued access in Switzerland to the information needed for restructuring or resolution;
- a written contract that includes early notice of subcontractor changes, the right to end the outsourcing in an orderly way, and the passing of the provider's obligations down to subcontractors. (This is notice and flow-down, not a prior-approval right.)
The circular also keeps the institution as responsible towards FINMA as if it performed the function itself. Prior approval of subcontractors is not a FINMA 2018/3 requirement; that wording belongs to the data protection act (next section). Source: FINMA Circular 2018/3, consolidated version (Stand 04.11.2020); FINMA circulars. As of 03.11.2026 we found no revision or consultation on the circular on FINMA's circulars and consultations pages.
Does FINMA say anything specific about AI?
Yes, as supervisory guidance. FINMA Guidance 08/2024 of 18.12.2024, "Governance and risk management when using artificial intelligence", is not a circular; FINMA expects institutions to manage risks such as model risks (robustness, correctness, bias, explainability), IT and cyber risks, growing dependence on third parties such as model and cloud providers, and legal and reputational risks. Topics include a central inventory with risk classification, testing and monitoring, documentation, independent review, and, for outsourcing, additional tests, controls and contract clauses on responsibility and liability. What does the Swiss data protection act add?
The revised FADP (DSG, SR 235.1, in force 01.09.2023; consolidated version of 07.07.2025 on Fedlex) matters whenever personal data is processed. As read in the official German text: controller and processor must ensure data security appropriate to the risk (Art. 8); a processor may process data on the controller's behalf by contract, the controller must satisfy itself that the processor can guarantee data security (Art. 9 paras. 1-2), and under Art. 9 para. 3 the processor may hand processing to a third party only with the controller's "vorgängige Genehmigung" (prior authorisation). That prior-authorisation rule is a data protection act rule. It is not part of FINMA Circular 2018/3, which asks for early notice of subcontractor changes, an orderly exit and flow-down of obligations; disclosure abroad requires an adequate level of protection or safeguards such as data protection clauses (Art. 16, exceptions in Art. 17). The act does not, in the articles above, mandate Swiss hosting. Where your data is processed is a risk and contract question, not a statement that any model is "FADP-compliant". For a deeper look see Claude for Swiss banks: data residency. Source: Fedlex, DSG SR 235.1.
What should I ask about ISO 27001?
Ask for the certificate, the scope statement and the issuing body, and check that the scope covers the delivery locations and teams that would touch your data. A certificate is evidence about the provider's management system, not about the solution you are buying.

Which firms publicly claim Claude work in Switzerland or DACH?
The table lists public statements only, with date and source. It is not a ranking and not a complete list. Anthropic's directory shows DACH office coverage per firm (region level; no country filter) and tiers; check it for the current tier of each firm. Of the firms in the directory's Financial Services & Insurance and DACH on-site view, OWT and Unit8 describe themselves as Swiss; both are listed as Select.

We make no claim here about a tier. Use the checklist above on us too.
Already built an agent on Claude? Companies in regulated industries such as financial services and pharma sometimes build a first agent themselves and then need it to pass a security, compliance and operations review. S-PRO offers a Claude platform review: code review and clean-up, stabilisation, a security and compliance review aligned with ISO 27001, and a defined path to production. We tell you what must change before go-live. The review does not replace an ISO 27001 certification audit. Talk to an engineer about a platform review. Details: Claude platform review. FAQ
Questions buyers ask us
Is there an official list of Claude implementation partners in Switzerland?
Anthropic publishes a service partner directory with filters for tier, industry, region (including DACH, with no separate country filter) and deployment surface. It is the primary source; counts and tiers change at least quarterly. Firms' own pages describe their claims and are not a substitute.
Does a Swiss bank need FINMA approval to use Claude?
FINMA Circular 2018/3 does not mention Claude or AI. It applies when a significant function is outsourced, proportionately to the institution. FINMA has also published supervisory guidance on AI (08/2024) describing what it expects. Assess your use case with compliance and legal.
Does the Swiss FADP require data to stay in Switzerland?
Not in the articles reviewed for this page (Art. 8, 9, 16, 17). Note that Art. 9 para. 3 requires the controller's prior authorisation before a processor passes processing to a third party. Disclosure abroad is regulated by Art. 16: an adequate level of protection or suitable safeguards. Hosting location is still a legitimate risk and contract question.
Does "certified" in the CPN mean the firm is certified?
No. Anthropic certifications belong to individuals. Tier conditions count certified practitioners who have used Claude in the past 90 days.
Is S-PRO a Claude Partner Network partner?
S-PRO is a Certified partner in the Claude Partner Network, and our team includes Claude-certified engineers and architects.
Can S-PRO review a Claude agent we built ourselves?
Yes. We review agents built in-house in regulated industries such as financial services and pharma: code quality, stability, security and compliance, and the path to production. It is not an ISO 27001 certification audit. Contact us via s-pro.io/get-in-touch.
